Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) wasn’t just treating patients on the 10th day of Chinese New Year. It was also treating everyone to a jaw-dropping lion dance performance that turned the hospital’s usually quiet spaces into a festive hotspot.
Even SJMC Chief Executive Officer Bryan Lin and Asia OneHealthcare Managing Director and Group CEO Dr. Chan Boon Kheng were visibly mesmerised as thunderous drums echoed through the space and the lions leapt with agility from pole to pole.
And it didn’t stop there. After the performance at the lobby, the lions “invaded” the hospital hallways, drawing delighted reactions as they moved through the building. Phones immediately came out as people recorded the performance, snapped photos, and took selfies with the lions as they swarmed the ground.
SJMC’s annual Chinese New Year celebration once again brought smiles, excitement, and a much-needed burst of festive joy proving that sometimes, a hospital can be a place not just for healing, but for creating happy memories too.
