NO man or woman is an island in a neighbourhood like SS19/1 in Subang Jaya. And that’s precisely how the community cares for their neighbourhood space when they got together for a gotong-royong to spruce up and clean up their get-together spot.
Organised by the SS19One Residents Association, residents volunteered one morning over a weekend last month to give their garden a trim as well as bring back the shine to their favourite spot where everyone’s knows your name.
State-of-the-art gardening tools as well as the traditional machete were brought out to get the job done nice and clean.
MBSJ MPP Zon 1 councillor Ken Chia also joined in the morning affair.
