THE Subang Jaya City Council carried out its promise to clear up the remnants of the illegal businesses along a stretch of government land in SS13 this morning.
The operations involved more than 100 personnel from MBSJ, the Petaling District Land Office and Bandar Sunway Police and proceeded without any untoward incidences on the ground.
MBSJ director of corporate and strategic management Muhammad Azli Miswan who was on site said this was the follow-up to the initial operations on May 29.
“Today, we are proceeding to demolish all the illegal structures along this stretch. The businesses operating here are unlicensed and have no permission from the government to operate on this land.”
“We will clean up the mess after this operation and we will make sure no new structures are built here without permission,” he said.
Muhammad Azli said MBSJ will continue to act on illegal businesses operating on government land irrespective of whether it is in residential or commercial areas.
“We would like to remind people not to carry out any business on government land without permission. We have identified a few more areas and we will be moving in on these areas soon,” he said.
