Register with Police Before You Balik Kampung for Chinese New Year

IF you are making plans to travel away from home during this Chinese New Year holidays, don’t forget to consider signing up with the police “Balik Kampung, Rumah Selamat” campaign.

Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said police personnel will be on duty to visit  and check on registered homes for this Chinese New Year whose owners and occupants might be away for the festival.

“If you are joining the balik kampung exodus this holiday, don’t forget to sign up for the initiative. We will have personnel check on your homes regularly while you are away.”

“Ops Selamat/Ops Cegah Jenayah will involve frequent and regular patrols to homes which are registered with us during festivals,” he said.

Wan Azlan urged residents to do any of the following to join the initiative:

  1. Fill up the balik kampung form and drop it off at the police station nearest to your home;
  2. Register with the Police Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP) system or
  3. Call IPD Subang Jaya’s operations centre at 03-78627100
