SUBANG JAYA, 3 June 2025 : The Subang Jaya District Police have disposed of over RM1.4 million worth of items seized from criminal activities, ranging from illegal gambling and contraband to electricity theft operations linked to Bitcoin mining.
The disposal exercise, held at the district police headquarters this afternoon, involved evidence from 635 concluded criminal cases spanning as far back as 2004. Among the key items destroyed were hundreds of computers and phones used in illegal gambling, large stashes of contraband cigarettes and liquor, and mining machines powered by stolen electricity.
Selangor deputy police chief Zaini Abu Hassan was present at the ceremony which was also witnessed by Shah Alam Magistrate Mohamad Redza Azhar Rezali.

Police warn that stealing electricity to mine Bitcoin, engaging in contraband trade, or operating illegal gambling dens remains a serious criminal offense in Malaysia. Authorities urge the public to report any suspicious activities by contacting the Subang Jaya police at 03-78627222.
“This is a reminder that the law catches up, no matter how long it takes,” added Supt Mohd Fairus.
