HOSTS and guests were dressed to the nines for the Lions Club Subang Jaya 40th charter anniversary charity banquet last month.
With almost 400 local and international guests including Subang MP Wong Chen and ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng attending the celebration, everyone was set to have a whale of a time for the evening.
Lions Club Subang Jaya President Adrian Lim and his organising team played the gracious host as they mingled with the arriving guests before settling down for the evening of events to roll out.
At the top of the agenda was a cheque presentation to Subang Jaya’s Community Ambulance for RM10,000. The funds were raised from the charity banquet table sales. The cheque was presented by Adrian to SJ Beacon chairman TH Teoh and witnessed by Michelle.
“Over the last three years of the pandemic, the club had jumped straight in with its ‘Feed the Hunger’ program to help provide basic food and necessities to the B40s who were stuck at home without work.”
“Apart from that, we extended a matching grant of RM50,000 to the community ambulance because it was doing good work saving lives in Subang Jaya during the pandemic. Today, we top up another RM10,000 to assist in the continuity of its service,” he said.
