HUNDREDS of lives in Subang Jaya have been saved thanks to the Subang Jaya Community Ambulanceโs speedy and efficient support in times of medical emergencies.
But the hefty toll to maintain its crucial emergency services may see it unable to carry on without public support.
Subang MP Wong Chen made the public appeal to help boost financial support from Subang Jaya residents, committing to RM20,000 funding from his office annually.
โThe community ambulance has been around for a long time. It has been providing crucial medical emergency services to the community over the years.โ
โWe need at least RM300,000 to maintain this service but we cannot do it alone. We need residents to step forward to chip in,โ he said.
Wong Chen who handed over RM20,000 to the ambulance team earlier said, โIf every resident or even business (big or small) can commit and chip in RM100 a month, it will help ensure this service can continue to be enjoyed by everyone.โ
โGive what you can afford on a monthly basis. Businesses in Subang Jaya can play their part by contributing a bigger sum annually to help.โ
โWe have many businesses around Subang Jaya. If everyone jumps on board, everyone can enjoy the services the community ambulance provides in times of need,โ he added.
