USJ1 KLINIK KESIHATAN TAKING SHAPE AND IT’S LOOKING MORE LIKE A HOSPITAL THAN A NEIGHBOURHOOD CLINIC!

New community healthcare landmark rises prominently as four-storey main structure takes shape, with completion targeted for early 2028.

If you have driven past USJ1 recently, you would probably have noticed something rather impressive rising above the neighbourhood.

The long-awaited Klinik Kesihatan USJ1 is finally looking like the major healthcare facility that residents have been hoping for all these years.

And judging by the sheer size of the building, one cannot help but think – this looks more like a hospital than your typical neighbourhood clinic!

The latest photographs taken towards the end of October 2026 show that the four-storey main structure is now complete, marking another significant milestone in the construction of what promises to become an important healthcare landmark for Subang Jaya.

From Bare Ground to a Four-Storey Building

It is quite remarkable how much the landscape has changed over the past 12 months.

In October 2025, the site was largely a sprawling construction area, with earthworks and groundwork underway. By April 2026, foundation works had progressed considerably. Come July, the building’s structural framework was beginning to rise.

Fast forward to October 2026, and there it stands – an imposing four-storey structure that is increasingly becoming a familiar sight in USJ1. For residents who have been following the project, it is certainly heartening to see something tangible emerging after so many years of waiting.

Not Your Ordinary Neighbourhood Clinic

Although officially designated a Jenis 2 Klinik Kesihatan, this is no small neighbourhood clinic.

The facility is designed to accommodate up to 800 patients a day and will offer an extensive range of healthcare services, including outpatient and emergency care, maternal and child healthcare, dental services, medical imaging, pathology, rehabilitation and a drive-thru pharmacy.

In many ways, the range of services makes it feel more like a mini-hospital, although it will remain a government health clinic rather than a full-fledged hospital.

Built on a 4.2-acre site – roughly the size of two football fields – the facility will also have 160 parking bays, including spaces for persons with disabilities, a dedicated ambulance garage and motorcycle parking.

That is a substantial addition to public healthcare infrastructure in Subang Jaya.

Bringing Healthcare Closer to Home

For many Subang Jaya residents, this project is about more than just another government building. It represents the prospect of having accessible and affordable public healthcare services much closer to home.

For years, residents requiring government clinic services have had to travel outside Subang Jaya to facilities in places such as Kelana Jaya, Taman Medan and Puchong. The new Klinik Kesihatan is expected to help ease that burden, particularly for senior citizens, lower-income families, parents with young children and residents who require regular medical attention.

Still Some Way to Go, But the Progress Is Encouraging

Of course, a completed main structure does not mean the clinic is ready to open its doors just yet.

There is still considerable work ahead, including the building’s interior, mechanical and electrical installations, medical facilities, equipment and other finishing works. The project is currently scheduled for completion in early 2028.

That may still seem some distance away, but the transformation over the past year offers residents something encouraging – visible progress. For a community that has waited so long for its own government health clinic, seeing the building rise floor by floor is reason enough to feel optimistic.

The hope now is that construction continues smoothly and the facility is completed on schedule. After all, Subang Jaya does not simply need another impressive building on its skyline.

It needs a healthcare facility that will serve its people for generations to come. And judging by the latest view from USJ1, that long-awaited promise is finally taking shape.

SJEcho will continue to follow the progress of this important community healthcare project as it moves towards completion in 2028.
