Sparing a Bit to Save Lives

SEVENTY seven bags of blood were collected at a recent blood donation drive organised by members of Guan Di Temple in Bandar Sunway.

The one-day affair saw many coming from near and far to roll up their sleeves for a good cause.

Temple committee chairman Koay Teng Koon said as many as 110 people showed up to donate blood but many were turned away for health reasons.

“We are happy to have been able to help with the National Blood Bank in replenishing their stock of blood. This is an annual affair which is important for us,” he said.
