YES! You need to now stop when the traffic light turns red at the Persiaran Setia-Jalan USJ3A/5 intersection.
The newly installed traffic lights junction is to help residents living in the USJ3A neighbourhood drive out safely at Persiaran Setia.
According to ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng, the Subang Jaya City Council had spent RM141,125 to install the traffic lights at the intersection.
“In 2019, USJ3A asked for a traffic light at Persiaran Setia. Its residents were always placed in harm’s way in having to deal with high oncoming traffic travelling downward a slope from the direction of USJ Heights.”
“Fatal accidents had occurred at this spot before. We have 360 residential homeowners in this neighbourhood who use the road daily,” she said.
Michelle said work to install the lights were completed in February this year.
“Motorists need to be aware that there are now a set of traffic lights at this intersection and obey the signalling.”
“MBSJ is still fine tuning the timing of the traffic lights to make it better,” she added.
