SUBANG JAYA, Oct 23 — Police have arrested a foreign man in his 40s for allegedly sexually assaulting his two underage nephews in Subang Jaya.
Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the suspect was detained on October 22 to assist investigations into incidents believed to have taken place in 2023 at a house in USJ 9.
“The arrest followed a police report lodged by the children’s parent after one of them revealed what had happened,” he said in a statement today.
Preliminary investigations showed that the suspect had lured the two brothers into his upstairs room, where he allegedly committed acts of physical sexual assault on them multiple times.
“The victims did not disclose the incidents earlier because they were afraid and unaware that what happened was an offence,” he added.
The suspect has been remanded for seven days to assist investigations under Section 377A of the Penal Code and Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
Wan Azlan advised parents and guardians to closely monitor their children’s movements and surroundings to prevent them from becoming victims of sexual crimes.
Those with information on the case are urged to contact the Subang Jaya District Police Headquarters at 03-7862 7222 or the nearest police station. All information will be kept confidential.
