Vibrant New Mural Adds Colour to Balai Bomba Subang Jaya

WHEN was the last time you passed by the Balai Bomba Subang Jaya in SS17? Have you noticed the new mural at the front of the fire & rescue department station?

The new mural features different scenes depicting the life of a fireman; fighting fires and carrying out rescues during floods.  According to SS17 Fire & Rescue Department chief Syed Shahril Anuar Syed Sulaiman, members of the public who wish to take photo or do a selfie at the mural can just walk in and click away.

“Members of the public can come in anytime to take a photo of the mural or do a selfie at the mural. Just let us know when you are at the station and our team will be more than happy to assist,” he said.

The mural and repainting of the whole station was carried out by Subang Jaya City Council’s MPP Zone 4 who worked on getting everything done over several months.

The mural was launched by Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis and ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng in November. They were accompanied by MBSJ MPP Zone 4 councillor Kamarul Hisham; MPP Zon 1 councillor Ken Chia and MPP Zon 3 councillor Lee Jen Uyin.

Prior to the launch of the mural, Norazam presented certificates of appreciation to members of the community who had continuously supported the Fire & Rescue Department’s efforts in creating more awareness of fire prevention.
