WAIT… SINCE WHEN DID SUBANG JAYA HAVE A CLEAN BACK LANE?

For years, our commercial back lanes in Subang Jaya, USJ and Bandar Sunway have been the same sad story: rubbish scattered like confetti, drains clogged to the brim, potholes filled with murky puddles, and a “welcome committee” of rodents that treat the place like a private clubhouse. These aren’t the kind of lanes you stroll down unless you’re either lost… or extremely brave.

But here’s the plot twist: we just found a back lane that’s so clean, so neat, so well-kept, we genuinely thought we were hallucinating.

Yes, in Subang Jaya. Yes, a back lane.

We “discovered” it while following MBSJ MPP Zon 3 councillor Christopher Joseph during his rounds in the neighbourhood. You know the drill, turn a corner expecting the usual mess… and then we stepped into a lane that looked like it had been quietly maintained by people who actually cared.

No overflowing bins.
No mystery liquids.
No trash pile “installations”.
No stench that slaps you into next week.

Just… clean.

We’re not exaggerating this. The moment we turned in, both of us literally went: WOW.

So now we have to ask: can you guess where this “back lane at the end of the rainbow” is?

Drop your guesses—Subang Jaya, USJ, or Bandar Sunway—and if you’ve seen other surprisingly clean back lanes, tell us where (because clearly, miracles do happen).
