YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE IN PENANG TO ENJOY AUTHENTIC NASI KANDAR

YOU read that right! Just pop over to Restoran My Nasi Kandar at Mydin USJ1 and enjoy to your heart’s content what you have been missing over the last few months because of the lockdown on inter-state travel.

This well-kept open secret of where to get authentic northern nasi kandar has been around since Mydin USJ1 opened its doors and the outlet has built up quite a following over the years, according to Restoran U Kandar Sdn Bhd owner Ubayathullah @ Ubai.

Born and brought up in Penang himself, Ubai grew up helping his father who sold nasi kandar from his stall along Macalister Road on the island. Being immersed in the industry since his childhood has encouraged Ubai to bring the “taste of Penang nasi kandar” to the Klang Valley for everyone to enjoy.

Northerners will attest to the “Utara” taste of Restoran My Nasi Kandar servings. Choices of meats and seafood delights are piping hot, waiting to be served on a platter to satisfy cravings.

According to Ubai, the hot-sellers are the Pasembur and Mee Goreng especially for diners who want something lighter for their meal. No doubt, a nice teh tarik or nescafe tarik will help make your visit all the more satisfying before or after a meal.

“We have also opened up two outlets of My Kandar Bistro. They are in USJ2 and USJ11 and they will serve the cravings of neighbourhood diners who want a quick bite or catch up with friends now that dining in is permitted,” he added.

Let’s dig in!
