Foreigner Dies After Jumping from 13th Floor of Condo Unit in Subang Jaya

SUBANG JAYA, JUNE 24 2024: A foreigner jumped twice from a high-rise condominium unit in USJ, Subang Jaya before succumbing to his injuries early yesterday (June 23) evening.

Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the foreigner who is in his 30s had jumped from the 13th floor of the condominium unit but landed on the 7th floor roof.

“Members of the public who realised his first jump tried to talk him out of it but the man again jumped from the 7th floor and landed on the five-foot of the building.”

“Police had rushed to the scene but on arrival found the man sprawled on the five-foot way with serious head, body and leg injuries. Paramedics from the Sg Buluh Hospital ambulance confirmed his death on site,” he said in a statement.

Wan Azlan said based on investigations, the man had just moved to the condominium unit on the 13th floor about a month ago.

“He was jobless. We are investigating what drove him to suicide.”

“The case has been classified as sudden death. His body has been sent to Serdang Hospital for a post-mortem,” he added.

Wan Azlan witnesses to step forward to assist the police in the investigations.
