SUBANG JAYA, JUNE 24 2024: EFFORTS to make it easier for residents to play their role in recycling is now expanding to the USJ1-USJ22 neighbourhoods starting July 1.
With collections scheduled for three times a week, the initiative which is spearheaded by ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng will see households being able to clear out their recyclable materials instead of cluttering up space in their homes.
“We are now expanding the program that has reaped success across Subang Jaya (Wangsa Baiduri,SS12, SS15, SS13, SS14, SS18, SS17, SS19, PJS7, PJS11 and South Quay) into USJ.”
“Collection by KDEB will be done at your doorstep. All you have to do is put all your recyclables into a separate rubbish bag and place them outside your gate on the designated days collection is being done,” she said at a press conference to announce the initiative for USJ.
According to Michelle, residents only need to set aside plastic, paper and aluminium from their normal household waste rubbish bags.
“For bulky waste like furniture, clothes and toys, you can contact MBSJ at 03 – 8024 7700 to find out about their charges for disposal.”
