FIVE suspects have been arrested by Subang Jaya Police after a decomposing body of a man believed to have been murdered was found in a car abandoned by the road side in Bukit Puchong on Sept 6 2023.
Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the Bukit Puchong police team who were on their crime prevention patrol had stumbled upon an abandoned car that reeked of the smell of a decomposing corpse.
“The vehicle was locked and when we opened the car door we found the decomposing body of a man on the back seat.”
“The body was covered with a jacket. The decease, based on record has a pending Penal Code case Bukit Jalil 8063/23 which is being investigated,” he said.
Wan Azlan said based on the discovery of the corpse, police have opened an investigation for murder under Sek 302 of the Penal Code.
“We have detained five suspects between the ages of 27-33 who have criminal records to facilitate our investigations.”
“All suspects have been remanded until Sept 10 pending our investigations into the murder,” he added.
