But, our specific appeal is the authenticity carried through in our dishes from the thick cuts of high-quality meats to the gentle breading and the sinful crunch that comes with each bite. The texture of the coating is very important in the way it performs and thus is something the founder Akinori Terazawa prides himself on. Each step from preparation, to the cutting of meats, the dusting of crumb coating; all an amalgamation from years of trial and error. The restaurant was sparked in Japan in 1976 to start his own specialty Tonkatsu outlet that served professionally marinated meats with homemade sauces as the perfect complement. Terazawa’s mulish demeanor led to him perfecting a unique way of preparing deep-fried meat that’s something for us to be thankful for!
