Rekindle the Reading Habit

PARENTS should let their children read books of their liking to encourage the habit of reading in our young, ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng recently said.

According to her, children should be encouraged to pick up the reading habit.

She said this after launching the mobile library programme at The Summit USJ last month.

“Reading is something that we may have lost focus on but is no less important. Reading books is important.”

“Books contain knowledge that can be shared with our next generation,” she said, adding that society would lose out more if they let the importance of reading books slip them by.

The mobile library service is a community project between Jiaxuan Picture Book Library and Persatuan Buku Bergambar Kanak-kanak Malaysia which will be going around different States to share their programme.
