Traffic is easing up near the Jalan Duta toll plaza along the North South Expressway in Kuala Lumpur after a fiery accident just before noon today.
Highway authorities had put out the flames and reopened three lanes to allow traffic to flow again while clean-up work is conducted.
Around 30 bags of sawdust was used to soak up the spilt fuel and detergents are being used to wash away the oily residue.
The driver of the truck – carrying barrels filled with diesel – is believed to have lost control during a passing shower shortly after 11.30am on Saturday Aug 3 at KM23.5 along the Bukit Lanjan to Jalan Duta stretch of the highway.
