The cuaca in the month of February was quiet panas. The sudden change from a cool rainy bulan Disember dan Januari to one which is suddenly so panas can be quite shocking. But ok lah, at least you can start to jemur all the kain kain and washed items properly. Some of the tilam and bantal kapok can also be dried and aired properly.
Subang Jaya will be having another new Datuk Bandar soon we pikir. This person would be the 3rd mayor since Subang Jaya jadi bandaraya sejak 20 Oktober 2020. So, bandaraya kita akan dapat 3 datuk bandar at least in 3 tahun. Harap harap jangan macam dapat PM lah. From 2018 till today, dah 4 PM!!!
Did you know Selangor ada 3 bandaraya? The first one adalah Shah Alam from 10 Oktober 2000 and yang kedua adalah Petaling Jaya sejak 20 Jun 2006. Not bad for a young bandar to jadi bandaraya so awal when it was just created as a majlis perbandaran only on 1 Januari 1997.
Now we see in Subang Jaya, banyak progress especially in making many buildings. The pokok pokok pun yang banyak dulu, sekarang sudah kurang. Mostly, sudah tebang to make way for the Kelana Jaya Link and also the NPE. Tempat pun sudah jadi lebih panas.
In Taipan USJ10, sekarang you can see the new 2-hour parking zones. This is to kononnya help with congestion. The kompleks letak kereta in Taipan pun also ada cat baru, brighter and quite penuh on weekdays. Cashless lagi. Taipan sekarang sangat maju. You boleh cari apa apa in Taipan. The pilihan for farmasi pun banyak. Ada Watsons, ada Guardian Ada BIG, ada AA dan ada Herbs n Foods sebagai contoh. Bank pun semua ada. UOB, Maybank, Affin, RHB dan Hong Leong pun ada. Kalau mahu makan fast food pun senang. McDonalds, KFC, Burger King and Taco Bell menjadi pilihan. Ada lagi restoran restoran dan kopitiam which are also well known macam Las Carretas, Logenhaus, La Cocina, Nanking, Starbucks, Coffee Bean for example.
Tapi, the Lorong belakang kedai still needs some attention la. Masih tidak memuaskan. Can be very dirty still. There is a need to improve the Lorong Lorong. Public street lights pun kena lebih. Even in Taipan 2 atau USJ9 pun sedang membangun. Masih same problem with Lorong Lorong belakang kedai. Taipan perlukan lebih perhatian and it is the closest to the MBSJ HQ. Tak kan lah tak nampak?
As we head over to SS15, the tempat pun also dah maju. SS14 pun dah maju. But the glaring part is that Taylor’s college dah pindah to Lakeside dekat Sunway. Kampus baru. In its place dah jadi HIS international school. INTI masih ada and expanded into the old Metropolitan punya. Asia Café pun dah hilang and an apartment project dah siap in its place. The Grand Subang Jaya.
The new kompleks letak kereta is located next door and is beautiful. Bright and lantai pun epoxy. But we hope they also renovate the pasar lah. Abit too old dah. The hawker area upstairs needs better lighting and furniture. Hopefully, this would encourage lebih ramai to open shops and then lebih ramai mengunjung pada waktu siang dan malam.
Subang Jaya perlukan fasiliti taman yang lebih baik. Walaupun we have the Subang Ria park, the tempat masih lagi perlu lebih perhatian. We need the place to be better than what it is. We cannot jadi Bandaraya without a beautiful park. The same thing goes to many taman taman rekreasi within Subang Jaya and USJ.
We have banyak kereta now in Subang Jaya roads. But we kena pikir lebih banyak untuk orang tua tua. Kita ada LRT stesen banyak tetapi untuk ke sana, feeder bas yang dekat dengan tempat tinggal tak senang dicari. Very important that we settle this as we perlu better connectivity. Apatah lagi the need to improve the same old problem of pedestrian walkways. Tak cukup baik.
We harap the new Datuk Bandar or Mayor comes in with a stronger spirit to make changes. This is especially so when in Subang Jaya, we need the promise of the pokok pokok yang ditebang to be upheld. Now, we see pokok ditebang, tak ada pun new pokok planted in its place. Do not lah say plant elsewhere. Last last, our tempat jadi gondola. No more pokok. Only concrete. Even the landscaping pun hilang rumput hidup at many places. Replaced with concrete or letak rumput palsu.
We cannot allow Subang Jaya to jadi concrete jungle. We need more plants and trees. We need better walkways to LRT and bus stops. We need for connectivity from housing areas to the public transport. We also need a public hospital in Subang Jaya. We already have two private ones. We need to have a park to be proud of. Subang Ria is not even what is of city standard. We need a new batch of people running MBSJ. We need better councillors as we believe the existing ones must be replaced. We need to also vote in our Mayor. Not, appointed. Kalau nak appoint pun, cari lah orang Subang Jaya!
