SUBANG JAYA’s premier private medical centres – Subang Jaya Medical Centre and Sunway Medical Centre are both prepared to serve the community’s medical needs and at the same time join the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Both hospitals are prepared to support the Ministry of Health’s call for private medical hospitals to join the fight against the pandemic by providing dedicated facilities to treat Covid-19 patients when the need arises.
Sunway Medical Centre (SMC) said the hospital prioritises the safety and well-being of its patients seriously and they have stringent infection control protocols in place to prevent any potential outbreak in the hospital. The hospital further added that its strong infection control team’s meticulous and continuous planning ensure that it can continue to serve its existing patients with peace of mind, while contributing their efforts in the fight against COVID-19 nationally.
SJMC in response said, “We would like to reassure the community that we have all Standard Operating Procedures and safety protocols in place to ensure a safe environment for all our patients, doctors and staff. Our doctors and staff are highly skilled and equipped with the necessary Personal Protective Equipment and expertise to carefully manage any COVID-19 situation that may arise. We also have multiple Critical and Intensive Care areas at SJMC, which allow us to adapt and manage any situations that arise.”
SJMC added that should it be required to admit any such cases, the patients will be separated as per infection control guidelines.
SMC further adds that additional resources invested for preparation of COVID-19 management include:
SMC also added that it had introduced its 24-hour Telemedicine Command Centre managed by a team of experienced medical officer and nurses to provide easier, more efficient access to healthcare when and where the patient needs it. The public can call in, email or reach out through social media platforms i.e., Facebook and WhatsApp.
