Chinese New Year Mood across Subang Jaya

FEBRUARY was like a Chinese New Year roller coaster ride as communities across the neighbourhood celebrated the Lunar New Year.

Over at SS15, residents came out in full force to attend the CNY celebrations organised by the SS15/2 & SS15/3 Rukun Tetangga. They were joined by ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng, Subang MP Wong Chen and MBSJ MPP Zon 1 councillor Ken Chia. It was a sea of red as residents and guests came dressed in red attire to mark the occasion.

Over at USJ2, the CNY celebration was even livelier with a pair of lions gracing the event. Residents old and young could not contain their excitement as the lions pranced around in the community hall. The gathering was organised by the USJ2 Rukun Tetangga and Residents Association.

The SS19One Residents Association decided to throw a brunch to celebrate the Lunar New Year with a potluck party. The variety of food from different kitchens in the neighbourhood spoiled the crowd for choice; leaving everyone no other choice but to try out everything that was served.

The USJ9 CNY dinner party was special this year with a crowd that swelled to its fullest to celebrate the festival together. Dinner was especially sumptuous with plenty of curries and freshly made thosai to whet the appetite.
