EFFORTS to keep the PJS9 Bandar Sunway neighbourhood free of the dengue was made lighter with the participation of the Omega Leo Club Subang Jaya Alumni members.
Armed with rakes, brooms and rubbish bags, the youths joined members of the PJS9 Rukun Tetangga and MBSJ MPP Zon 2 councillor Ronald Tah to spruce up the neighbourhood and clear the back lanes of unwanted items which could be mosquito breeding spots.
The morning affair kicked off as groups of volunteers made their way to the designated zones identified for the Mega Gotong-Royong initiative.
Unwanted items found in the back lanes were carted away for disposal. Some of these included a washing machine and lots of containers.
