MYDIN has once again warmed hearts across Selangor by distributing a whopping 45,000 packs of bubur lambuk as part of their annual “Kongsi Rasa Ramadan” CSR initiative over the weekend.
The beloved Ramadan porridge tradition kicked off strong, delighting customers and locals alike with its comforting aroma and generous portions, all while fostering community spirit ahead of the holy month.
This yearly highlight saw MYDIN team up with strategic partners like Gas Malaysia, Ayam Brand, Barnsberry, Bestari, Faiza, Kawan, Ramly, Trichy, and 100 Plus to make it happen across 35 branches nationwide.
In Selangor, the distribution drew crowds eager for the free servings, turning hypermarkets into hubs of joy and unity. Families from all walks of life lined up, sharing laughs and stories over steaming bowls of the savoury rice porridge – a true symbol of Malaysian harmony.
MYDIN’s Managing Director, Datuk Wira Dr. Haji Ameer Ali Mydin, shared that the event underscores their unwavering commitment to giving back during Ramadan. “Ramadan strengthens our sense of togetherness and care – this isn’t just tradition, it’s our way of sharing blessings with those in need,” he said, inviting everyone regardless of background to join in the festivities.
The initiative highlights MYDIN’s role as Malaysia’s largest halal retailer, operating 75 branches since 1957 with their famous “Why Pay More? Buy Wholesale!” motto.
As one of the biggest local wholesaler-retailers, MYDIN keeps delivering positive impacts through such programs rooted in compassion. Follow their social media for more Ramadan updates and branch details – because nothing says Puasa prep like free bubur lambuk!
