NEWBORN BABY FOUND ABANDONED IN PJS9

NOVEMBER 19 2023: A newborn baby boy with his umbilical cord still attached was found dumped by the roadside in PJS9/1, Bandar Sunway on Nov 18 at 1.25pm.

Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat who made the revelation today said the newborn was found wrapped in a plastic bag by the roadside by a passerby.

“Thankfully, the baby was still alive when he was found. The baby was found naked with its umbilical cord still attached.”

“The person who discovered the baby was accompanied by policemen to a nearby medical clinic for immediate medical attention,” he said in a statement.

Wan Azlan said the baby was subsequently transferred to Hospital Sg Buluh for further examination and treatment.

“Preliminary examination revealed that the baby had just been born. He is in stable condition and is being monitored at the hospital.”

“We are investigating the case under Sect 317 of the Penal Code,” he added.
