MEMBERS of the public especially drone owners are reminded of the blanket “No Fly Zone for Drones” for the duration of the State Elections.
Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said no one is allowed to fly drones during the duration of the State elections especially so during ceramahs or gathering related to the campaigning by different parties.
“The restriction is especially during the three important dates – July 29 (nomination day); early voting (Aug 8) and voting day (Aug 12).”
“This also includes the whole duration of the campaign right after the nomination day,” he said.
Wan Azlan said drone owners are required to seek permits from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).
