If there’s one thing Malaysians can agree on, it’s that a good drink hits different when it comes in a big, colourful jar at a bazaar. Double Lion, a proudly homegrown brand with over five decades of heritage, officially kicked off its first Warna-Warni Bazaar by Double Lion roadshow at MYDIN USJ Subang Jaya, turning the venue into a lively celebration of Malaysian beverage culture, community spirit, and tradition.
Held in collaboration with MYDIN, the event brought the iconic Air Balang culture to life through a vibrant and immersive bazaar-style experience. Visitors soaked in the festive atmosphere while enjoying 100 sets of Air Balang served free of charge, alongside nostalgic favourites like traditional kuih-muih and Aiskrim Malaysia, all made using 19 flavours of Double Lion flavoured concentrated beverages.
The Warna-Warni Bazaar by Double Lion also made history when it was officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records for the “Most Sets of Air Balang in an Event”. The recognition marks a major milestone for the brand, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to preserving and spotlighting Malaysia’s rich food and beverage heritage.
Founded in 1972, Double Lion is a Halal and ISO-certified Malaysian brand with 54 years of experience in producing flavoured concentrated beverages that have been enjoyed across generations. Through initiatives like this roadshow, the company continues to stay rooted in tradition while engaging today’s consumers in fresh, family-friendly ways.
“Warna-Warni Bazaar by Double Lion is more than just a bazaar. It is a platform for us to celebrate Malaysian flavours, bring communities together, and showcase how deeply Air Balang is rooted in our culture. We are proud to collaborate with MYDIN Mohamed Holdings Berhad and to begin the year with such a meaningful and record-breaking event,” said Joan Tan, Managing Director of K.H.H. Double Lion Fruit Juice Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd.
On top of beverage sampling, visitors also got to take part in interactive games, enjoy exclusive promotions, and access 100 Air Balang recipes via QR code, making it easy for fans to recreate the experience at home.
