Snatch Thief Suspect Had a Trail of Criminal Records, SJ OCPD said

SUBANG JAYA, JULY 22 2019: THE suspect who was nabbed by members of the public in SS14 on July 21 2019 had previous criminal records including narcotics, according to Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Risikin Satiman.

In his Facebook posting, Risikin said police officers who responded to a 999 call arrested the suspect. The victim’s relative has lodged a police report. The Police are still waiting for the victim to lodge her report as she is still being treated in hospital.

“Initial checks showed that the suspect had several criminal records including narcotics. The crimes he had been incriminated with were carried out outside Subang Jaya.”

“The suspect is not a resident of Subang Jaya,” he added.

Risikin expressed his gratitude to members of the public who were alert and jumped into action to apprehend the suspect.

“I believe this is the direct result of our engagement with the public through Selangor Police’s and Subang Jaya IPD’s OSCAR program which aims to raise awareness on crime in neighbourhoods,” he said.
