SUBANG JAYA police are seeking public help to locate the parents of the abandoned 6-weeks old baby.
Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said anyone with information on the whereabouts of the babyโs mother or father can contact 017-9149376 (SJN SHARIFAH FATIMAH MARHIDAYANI SYED MUHAMMAD) or call 03-78627100 (PUSAT KAWALAN DAERAH,SUBANG JAYA).
โThe case is being investigated under Seksyen 317 of the Penal Code,โ he said.
Under this section, whoever, being the father or mother of a child under the age of twelve years, or having the care of such child, exposes or leaves such child in any place with the intention of wholly abandoning such child, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years or with fine or with both.
