Celebrating Christmas & New Year in Style in Subang Jaya

DECEMBER was that time of the year when everyone let their hair down to celebrate Christmas and prepare to usher in the New Year.

Community leaders and residents alike got together in various parts of Subang Jaya to celebrate the festivities over a good meal and lively company.

The SS19One Residents Association got together for their signature weekend potluck breakfast which showcased the best servings from different households for everyone to enjoy.

The get-together turned their gazebo into a full-blown party as residents from the four corners of the neighbourhood gathered for a catch up before the year comes to a close.

Over in SS15, the SS15/2 & SS15/3 Rukun Tetangga Christmas party painted the neighbourhood red as residents and invited guests showed up in red outfits, donning Santa hats and dancing away to the music that was playing throughout dinner.

The neighbourhood Christmas caroling group kept everyone in the Yuletide mood as they sang melodiously in the night. At one point, guests joined in some dancing as the carolers crooned their hearts out to provide the entertainment.

Just two days before the New Year, the SS15 Hexagon Rukun Tetangga threw a Christmas and New Year’s Eve party for their neighbourhood. Despite the heavy downpour before and during the event, residents packed the dining area with Christmas jingles played while waiting for “Santa” to bring the dinner.

Both ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng and MBSJ MPP Zone 1 councillor Ken Chia attended all three events.
