VOTERS should make an effort to come out to vote on August 12 and not allow it to become an election of regret, incumbent ADUN Subang Jaya Michelle Ng said today.
Her concern and worry that voter turnout on August 12 might be lower than that of GE15 brings shudders down her spine.
“We just received the data from the Elections Commission on postal votes this time around. Only 398 postal votes have been issued for DUN Subang Jaya.”
“This is a far cry from the number of postal votes recorded in GE15,” she said.
Michelle said 2,850 ballots were collected from Subang Parliamentary Constituency (which consists of DUN Subang Jaya and DUN Kinrara) in GE15.
“Assuming that half is from DUN Subang Jaya, we should have 1,425 ballots but we have only got 398 for this State elections.”
“We must not let this state elections be an elections of regret. I urge voters to come out in full force to exercise your voting rights and choose the candidate of your choice,” she said, adding that there was no such thing as a safe seat.
